Obedience
7.1 General Information
The obedience will be held in the stadium alternately with the protection work. The stadium has a lawn and bail covering. All exercises must be performed, seen from the main platform, from the left to the right. The quantity of the steps should coincide with the one demanded by the PO rules. The maximum quantity of the steps is marked properly. Test demonstration of the obedience work is not planned.
The handlers present in sports dresses (tracksuits). Handlers are not allowed to use special training jackets.
7.2. Checking at the dog handler entrance.
Together with their team captain or his/her substitute, all participants must report for an entrance control at least 15 minutes before the stated start time at the dog handler entrance. Here the collar will be checked. Only the loose chain with big rings is allowed. If the handler fails to report at least 15 minutes before his/her start time, he/she will be disqualified.
The identity control will be held after the performance at the dog handler exit.
7.3. A-frame, hurdle, dumbbells and guns.
According to the PO rules the A-frame is 1,5 m wide and 1 m high.
The A-frame has climbing laths and a non slip surface. The size is in accordance with the PO rules.for the protection work these constructions are taken out of the field, their position is marked. Placement of the articles is made according to the approved plan.
The similar frames are also placed at the training field.
The dumbbell should be in two samples each (two identical models).
The weight and measuring of them are in accordance to the PO rules. Additional weight is not allowed.
Weight of the dumbbell:
- For the “straight” surface: - 2.000 gr
- For the A-frame and hurdle – 650 gr.
The dumbbells will be supplied by the organization and will be the same for all the competitors. Is not allow to use the own dumbbells.
Two Caliber 6 mm guns will be used. The shots will be fired at the first straight.
7.4. Long Down.
Different long down positions will be marked for males and bitches, and these positions must be used.
